There are some common plumbing problems that occur quite frequently in household settings due to poor plumbing maintenance. For instance, squeaking faucet which refers to your faucet making a very high pitched sound when you turn it around to a direction. In that case, you usually need to replace the washer, which may not be a very complicated task for somebody who is familiar with basic plumbing. However, if you are not absolutely sure about the exact procedure, it is never a good idea to mess around. Instead, call a qualified plumber who will also be in a better position to suggest a rather permanent solution.
Another common problem is small pipe leak, where you cant figure out where the water is leaking out from but there is some teeny tiny place. In that situation, the best idea is to turn off the water supply, clean and wash the pipe and make sure its absolutely dry. Then apply epoxy accompanied by many layers of electrical tape. Although this is a makeshift arrangement for your benefit, it shouldn’t be completely relied upon. Also, there’s a good chance the pipe may as well be cracked in which case you will have to get it replaced.
